Club Activities
RADARS currently takes part in two annual RSGB contests as a club activity. The VHF National Field Day (VHF NFD) takes place in July and HF SSB Field Day takes place in September. Being in Yorkshire it is invariably wet, but we don’t let that dampen our enthusiasm and we have achieved good results, in particular winning the 6 m (50 MHz) Low Power section in 2022. Individual Activities on behalf of the club
Some members join in the monthly RSGB UK Activity Contests (UKAC) which take place on 6 m (50 MHz), 4 m (70 MHz), 2 m (144 MHz), and 70 cm (432 MHz). This can either be done at members’ home stations or using the club station in the Bunker.
